Welcome to the Orange Network APIs Hackathon: empowering developers to innovate!
Join us for an exciting event tailored for developers eager to push the boundaries of innovation and creativity. Whether you're a seasoned coder or just starting out, this Hackathon offers the perfect opportunity to elevate your skills and reshape the future of tech.
Participants will be challenged to create cutting-edge solutions by leveraging Network APIs.
Integrate advanced network functionalities into your applications with standardized interfaces that offer agility, flexibility, and innovation. These APIs enable you to leverage real-time network data without needing deep telecommunications expertise. As part of the GSMA Open Gateway Initiative and CAMARA open-source project, Orange provides secure and compliant Network APIs across various geographies.
Use cases
Fraud prevention
Utilize APIs like Device Reachability Status, Device Roaming Status, SIM Swap, Number Verification or KYC match to enhance security and protect against fraudulent activities.
Location services
Implement Geofencing, Device Location Verification, and Device Location Retrieval to provide precise location information for logistics, transportation, and retail applications.
Enhanced Network Quality
Use the Quality on Demand to optimize network performance, catering to the growing demand for high-quality, low-latency connections, especially in gaming and virtual reality sectors.

What are Network APIs?
The Network APIs developed under CAMARA open-source project facilitate the interoperability and integration of telecommunications services. Thanks to Network APIs the consumption and management of networks are simplified.
Network APIs offer :
Interoperability
Allowing developers to easily deploy their solution between different operators and different geographies.
Network resources access
Allowing developers to access network functionalities, such as quality of service management, resource configuration and performance monitoring.
Modularity
Offering modular components that can be easily integrated into existing systems, promoting rapid innovation.
Digital services support
Facilitating the development of new digital services, by integrating advanced capabilities such as AI and data analysis.
Profiles
Startups and entrepreneurs with a keen interest in mobile network connectivity
Developers passionate about creating scalable solutions using network APIs
Innovators eager to transform industries through telecommunications
Jacem Guezguez received his PhD (Hons.) in Telecommunication. His main research interests include APIs and security in Cloud WSN (Wireless Sensor Networks) and virtualization.
Jacem has a technical background and advanced knowledge on telecom networks which help mobile operators in their strategic roadmaps to migrate through next generation networks and virtualise their infrastructures. Currently, Jacem works as a Network APIs and 5G Infrastructure Engineer at Orange Innovation, where he actively demonstrates and studies new end-to-end integrations of APIs in mobile networks.
Builder, founder, and forever curious. I’ve spent my career at the intersection of IT and telecom, creating startups, scaling ideas, and collaborating with corporates. Now, through The Next Cloud and CPaaS Acceleration Alliance, I’m focused on driving the future of programmable communications.
Based in Amsterdam, I balance work, family, and a house full of pets—all while chasing the next big idea.
Assane Mbengue is a skilled telecommunications professional with expertise in project management, APIs, and mobile networks.
He has a strong operational background and experience in 4G/5G network APIs integration, mobile end to end QoS, and Radio Access Network.
Currently, he holds the position of technical responsible for the Network API lab at Orange Innovation, where he actively demonstrates and drives innovative use cases.
Ludovic Robert has been involved in API activities for the past 10 years at Orange. For the last 2 years, he has served as the Tech Lead for the CAMARA project. In this role, Ludovic is deeply engaged in CAMARA contributions and is one of the top contributors to the Linux Foundation project.
He is the code owner of several CAMARA APIs and a member of the CAMARA Technical Steering Committee. Additionally, Ludovic is actively involved in the development of these APIs within the Orange network, working on both live implementations and sandbox environments.
